Your Database, File & Admin System in the cloud.

Connecting your data & apps together

Using DataCloud data and digital assets (e.g. images & video) can be administered in the cloud and used by websites & mobile applications.

Use DataCloud as a standalone database and file store for operational databases that your off-the-shelf back office systems do not provide.

Build mobile and web applications to improve business efficiency and connect to your data cloud for real time data storage or retrieval.

Software developers can use datacloud as an instant administration system for data and files for their Software applications.

Building custom made software to compliment your backoffice system such as ERP and CRM can add value to your customer experience.

DataCloud gives you an instant database, file store, & admin system in the cloud...
...that's incredibly easy to setup.

So simple to create

It's all about giving you an easy way to spin-up and configure a database... let us worry about the servers and technical stuff!

Follow an easy-to-use setup wizard to a world of easy to create databases for any purpose.

Best features that makes this app smart

Low Cost of Ownership

Buying servers and the expertise to set them up, is expensive and complicated (let alone looking after them).

With DataCloud, simply register your company to open an account for free, now you can create a number of data clouds with a simple to use wizard.

Once you have a data cloud, follow the setup wizard to create data modules (database tables in old terminology), e.g. customer data, or products. Now you have a data module, you are guided to create data items in that data module, e.g. customer name, address, etc.

 It's that quick and easy!

Stop using Spreadsheets

Ok, so you are using spreadsheets in your organisation to store data, but hit a wall when you need lots of people to access and update this data at the same time.

You need this data stored in a database, with an admin tool for people to login so they the can view and update this data.

That is where DataCloud comes in.

DataCloud gives you the ability to create a database (no techies needed), the using the admin console people can create and edit data.

Even better is that DataCloud comes with a secure API and Software Development Kit (SDK) for developers to build mobile and web apps to use your data in DataCloud.

Data Module Wizard

The DataCloud product is all about creating data modules (data tables using database terms).  For example, you want to store information about customers, you will create a data module called 'Customers' and then add the data fields (information) you want to record about your customers.

The Data Module Wizard makes it easy for you and your software developer to create Data Modules.

These Data Modules form your data-cloud - i.e. your data and files are stored safely on servers in large datacenters and are accessed via the Internet.

Software developers, use the DataCloud Open API to read and write data to and from your DataCloud.

Workflow Engine

Workgroups can be created and managed by special users called "Administrators". When creating a Data Module, the Administrator can decide who can access this module, and if some users will require their content / data updates to be approved prior to being made available to a web or mobile application that is using DataCloud

Customisable Permissions, the data of a given workgroup can be made available for all website, business or mobile application users

Every DataCloud user has its own unique set of roles that determine which actions members are allowed to perform. Users can be assigned read, write, delete, edit actions for each software module, as well as the right to approve other users content in a particular module.

Secure API

Every Data Module can be accessed through an Application Programming Interface (API). This means you can call DataCloud from your code to read or modify the data, and files that are used by your website, mobile app or business application.

Each data cloud is given a unique API key, that protects your data from being seen by unauthorised programs or people.

Custom Software Development

Although DataCloud comes with an extensive selection of ready-to-use web libraries (Software Development Kits), that cover most of your typical website ecommerce and business software dashboard needs, your software developer can still build any type of website, mobile applications, business software, using any development language.  This is because the data stored in your DataCloud is always accessed via a industry standard secure API.

REST is an abbreviation of Representational state transfer – a style of software architecture designed for distributed systems, typically for the World Wide Web. DataCloud has a built-in REST service that can be used to read, create, update, and delete virtually any object or document within the system. These operations are performed by requesting specific URLs.

The DataCloud REST service can be referred to as RESTful, which means that it supports both directions of data transfer (from and into your data cloud).

Version Control

A new data record version is created automatically whenever you hit Save. Previous versions are kept available for the DataCloud users. With each version, you can see:

  • who and when made the changes
  • version number
  • Side-by-Side Comparison of Versions

One of the most useful features of versioning is side-by-side comparison of versions. Using this feature, you can:

  • see exactly which parts of an Asset or Data Category were modified in particular versions
  • conveniently switch between compared versions
  • rollback to previous versions directly from the side-by-side comparison window
  • One-Click Rollback

It is effortless to rollback to any of the previous document versions. All you need to do is to click a button. If the Data Module uses workflow, it has to go through the approval process again after roll back.
